We believe we offer some of the most flexible and accommodating executive search services in the business. This is our best-quality, top-priority search option. When client needs are high-level, urgent and require priority focus, a Retained search is the ideal choice. We are retained with a modest professional fee at the beginning of the search and then you don’t pay again until we deliver! A retainer allows us to give your search our highest priority and to assign resources outside the normal scope of a contingency search
Our Retained search payment structure is unique within the executive search industry. A 25% retainer or engagement fee initiates the search and ensures the dedication of priority resources to your search. The remaining 75% of our fee will not be billed until the search is completed to your satisfaction (your offer is accepted and with a mutually-agreed upon start date).
This retained option establishes an active “partnership” with RKR Recruiting and is an excellent option when a client has multiple concurrent search needs, or anticipates several searches over several months to a year. The Reserve Account is established with the payment of an agreed upon deposit (initial retainer) to RKR Recruiting. This payment ensures the immediate deployment of dedicated recruiting time and resources. This account balance is amortized or gradually reduced as each placement is made and a portion of the balance is applied to reduce the fee of each placement. The Reserve account balance is guaranteed to be applied to a completed search.
Contingency Search, by its very nature, cannot command the same level of committed time and resources as Retained Search. We are willing to work on Contingency to build client confidence and trust in our ability to recruit exceptional candidates and provide outstanding service and results. When we agree to work on Contingency, we request that you work with us on an exclusive basis for an agreed-upon period before engaging other recruiters on the same search. This exclusivity will greatly increase the priority, attention, and resources we can provide to your search.
RKR Recruiting will work to the best of our ability to fill every Contingent Search we accept; however, our searches are prioritized by what we can effectively accomplish at any given time. A Contingent Search may be delayed or given less priority and attention than a Retained Search. Our Contingency clients frequently become Retained clients, and this becomes the basis of a strong, long-term partnering relationship.
Our standard placement fee for hiring one of our candidates can range from 25% to 35%, depending on whether the search is retained or contingent, and other negotiated factors such as exclusivity, candidate replacement guarantee period, number of searches, etc. Our fees are calculated on the first-year guaranteed compensation, including any hiring or signing bonus.
